Emblaze wants you to feel loved and supported at every stage of your journey. But life isn’t perfect and there may be times where your personal sense of wellbeing might be tested.
Your Wellbeing Lead is an impartial voice or soft shoulder to support you with any personal issues you feel you can't address with the business directly. Supporting your Wellbeing Lead are a number of other measures including:
PHYSICAL
Office equipment such as desks, chairs and keyboard stands can have a considerable impact on your posture. These items will be provided by Emblaze, so you can put the ironing board away!
Eye tests can be organised through an optician, and Emblaze will pay for the test. If the test shows that you need glasses for DSE use, Emblaze will contribute £100 towards any frames and lenses. In both case simply expense the receipt through the usual process.
PSYCHOLOGICAL
Monthly Pulse check-ins provide a platform to communicate in written form and ensure your views be read by your Wellbeing Lead as well as the company Directors.
One-to-ones will take place on a quarterly basis, toggling between virtual and in-person. These are good opportunities to discuss your progress and keep a healthy mindset.
SOCIAL
Tea with Me is a gentler opportunity each quarter to share your feelings in engage with others as we collectively explore matters around health and wellbeing. You also get a £5 budget to spend on pastries!
Company gatherings are arranged relatively frequently to get us all to spend time together, expanding the conversation beyond business.

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) For matters outside of the realm of Emblaze's support and expertise, you may turn to Health Assured. Providing a confidential space for personal and professional support, this EAP offers 24/7 expert advice and compassionate guidance. You can download the service overview here.
Life support
Access to counselling for emotional, child and eldercare problems. You can receive up to 6 sessions of counselling, including face-to-face, telephone, or online options, as well as CBT per person*, per issue, per year.
Legal and financial information
For issues that cause anxiety or distress including debt management, consumer, property or neighbour disputes.
Bereavement support
Help with grief plus legal advisors to help with related legal matters.
Medical information
Qualified nurses on hand to support on a range of medical or health-related issues offering practical information and advice.
Wellbeing portal
A virtual library of wellbeing information, as well as instant guidance to aid physical and mental health.
